Over 2,500 triathletes from 86 countries, ranging in age from 18 to 82, will race tomorrow’s Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. But today was all about the final preparations: those last-minute gear, nutrition, and taper puzzle pieces that make the big picture come together when the start cannon fires.

Scroll on for some of the fastest, funkiest, and freshest bikes spotted at check-in today, and stay tuned for the data from our annual Kona Bike Count, which we’ll share after the race, along with analysis from Triathlete contributor and resident gearhead T.J. Tollakson.
